The Confliker worm, that was widely reported by the news media to wreak havoc starting on April 1st, has quietly started to update itself on April 8th!  Security researchers have not yet determined the final intent of the malware writers.  The advice given by a majority of the security professionals is to make sure your operating system and anti-virus program have been updated with the latest patches and anti-virus signatures!
